Cool spot, cute town Liked: The history of the building, the ambiance was cool almost haunted house vibe. Disliked: Breakfast was sad, when eggs and bacon are not good that’s sad. Even a little effort fixes that.
Excellent place in a historical... Liked: Service, the building, and location.
Beautiful, peaceful, enjoyable, and would... Liked: The room and facilities were extremely clean. The staff met were extremely friendly and helpful. Easy communication and thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely location from which to explore the Burlington downtown and surrounding area. (Wifi was available but I did not personally use it and thus did not rate it) Disliked: Parking was full and had to park a little further away- but this was to be expected being in the the downtown area. Not applicable to myself- but not ADA friendly- stairs for main entry and narrow stairs to get to 2nd level
Disappointed Liked: The room was clean and spacious. Bathroom shower was awesome with the bench seat. No TV in the room though. There was a community room with a TV but not private. Disliked: Breakfast. Basically scrambled eggs and a piece of bacon both days. It was made fresh to order, but same for both days. Fresh fruit was provided which was good, but nothing else. We had to ask for juice (which we got ourselves), and our own coffee via Keurig. No fresh brewed coffee.
I would not recommend staying... Liked: Old charming building: The only positive aspect is that Lily Inn is an old building with charm, located on a beautiful street in Burlington. Unfortunately, that is where the positive side ends. Disliked: Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. The charm of the old building does not make up for the shortcomings, especially as the property feels neglected and, in some respects, not properly clean. I can understand that the bed may not be made every day in some establishments, but I find it unacceptable that even a basic cleaning service for the room and bathroom was missing. At the very least, emptying the waste bin in the room should be considered an essential standard. Breakfast was extremely disappointing: very small portions of eggs, bacon of very poor quality that seemed processed or artificial, no yogurt, a tiny amount of fruit and no fresh fruit available. There were no cheeses or cold cuts. The croissants were stale, and the bread could not even be warmed up. Butter and jams were simply nowhere to be found. Overall, the experience was well below expectations and far from the minimum level of service one would expect from an accommodation facility. I would not recommend staying at Lily Inn. I also find the overall positive rating difficult to understand. Perhaps the situation has deteriorated significantly in recent months, and the property may have been much better in the past. However, based on my experience, the current rating feels misleading and does not reflect the actual standard of the stay.
